Our branch in Gjakova is really, really small. My companion and I are both Sister Training Leaders. We do trainings at zone conference and exchanges with the sisters in our zone once every 6 weeks for each companionship. There are 3 other sister companionships in our zone, one in Prishtina, the capitol of Kosovo, and 2 in Macedonia. We have a car, we stay overnight when we go to trainings. On Wednesday morning we have to drive to Tirana for a training from President Weidman and then we are driving back with the Macedonian elders and they will take us to Macedonia where we will spend the night with the sisters there and then give a training at the zone training in Macedonia on Thursday morning.
Geg is what they speak in Kosovo. They have really, really low voices. Geg is just a dialect of Albanian...it's still Albanian. It is really hard to understand people here...
Gjakova is really cold right now but our apartment is warm, it has heated floors. We don’t have a senior missionary couple assigned to Gjakova right now, but they are trying to find a house to move down here from Prishtina.
There is only one place that we know of for internet in this city. It's right across the street from the church. The church is in an apartment building, but it's the 1st and 2nd floors. We have a normal cell phone, but we can't call Albania... L We don't have any investigators right now. We went way out to a fshat (village) to have a lesson. There are quite a few people that speak English here...not so many in the ward, but they LOVE America here.
I love you all to Gallifrey and back!!
Love,
Motra Xhohansën
